The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of St. David’s continues its commitment to Women’s ministry. All Episcopal women are automatically members of the ECW. We are women of all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic background in the Episcopal Church USA who choose to participate. Our common denominator is our love of God, the desire to do His work and our love for each other. Here at St. David’s we meet on the third Sunday of the month except July and August following the 10:30 am Service. We would like to take this opportunity to invite the other ladies in the congregation who do not attend our monthly meetings to please join us for fellowship, share ideas, and to create and enhance new projects. The executive committee meets when the need arises.
Most of the ECW’s work at St. David’s is our Outreach Ministry, including:
- St. John’s Hospital Toy Drive
- Adopt-a-Family Program
- St. John’s Hospital Children’s Supply Collection (for school-age and newborns)
- Sick and Shut-in Holiday Gifts
- United Thank Offering (UTO) Ingathering
- Book of Remembrance
- Adopt-an Orphan Girl from the Caribbean.
Within the St. David’s Community:
- Meditative Prayer Breakfast
- Women’s Day
- Defensive Driving Course
- Trip to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse
- Father’s Day Celebration
The Episcopal Church Women’s Prayer
Almighty God, we pray that you will bless our work in mission and ministry in the world. Help us to pray fervently, labor diligently and give liberally to make known the power of your love, given through your son, Jesus Christ. Let us not forget the lessons from the past nor fear the challenges of the future. Anoint us with your grace and shine in our hearts as we reflect your light throughout the world. Amen.
